MoroccanOil™ Frequently Asked Questions:

1. My clients often complain that their hair is too oily – wont Moroccanoil™ make their hair even more oily?

Actually, to be healthy, all hair needs to have a fine balance of natural oils and vitamins. Moroccanoil™ provides these much needed nutrients and makes the hair smoother and easier to manage without making the hair oily.

2. How much Moroccanoil do I need to use for each client?

The quantity needed per client depends on the texture and volume of the hair: highlighted hair will need more rather than less Moroccanoil™; virgin or untreated hair needs the least amount of Moroccanoil™– perhaps a dime shaped amount rubbed into the stylists palms and then through the hair of the client.

3. At what point in the styling process should I use Moroccanoil?

For normal hair, as a finishing product: after the hair has been washed and conditioned and before styling. For color treated or highlighted hair, Moroccanoil™ can be massaged into the scalp and troughout the hair before the color process is begun – the use of Moroccanoil™ actually enhances the hairs ability to absorb color!

4. How can colorists use Moroccanoil™?

We have found that Moroccanoil™ is a great product for color technicians : it can be used directly on the hair before the color is applied; it can be mixed with the color products and then applied to the hair; and finally, it can be used as a conditioner after the entire color process has been completed.

5. How much Moroccan Oil do I need to mix with my color application?

For color - highlights - straightening and perms.

For long hair; 10ml of Moroccanoil™ into the mix is suggested.

Before applying the color mix, apply 5 ml. of Moroccanoil™ and massage it through hair.

As always, the quantity used depends on the thickness of the client’s hair. Less is more and you can always add more product to the mix if you need to.

Note: MOROCCANOIL™ is added as a final procedure, after the mix has been prepared.

6. What are some of the other benefits of using Moroccanoil™?

The benefits to the clients include increased manageability; less frizz; enhanced color and color that lasts longer; increased elasticity; great shine and gloss.

The benefits to the stylists/salons include increased profitability Moroccanoil™ speeds up styling time up to 40%.

(40% time saved means the ability to style 40% more clients); more products sold = more $$ and increased sell-through of color and other products (because Moroccanoil™ can and should be used with color applications, every sale of color will increase the possibility of selling more Moroccanoil™).
