INTERNATIONAL BRAND MANAGER

The position is working for Moroccanoil as a full time Brand Manager. We are market leaders in the professional hair care industry and are expanding our Asian and European markets.

A Moroccanoil Brand Manager is an Ambassador of the brand in the assigned territories. The Brand Manager is responsible for translating the brand vision into marketing, sales and education activities.  The Brand Manager finds ways to establish optimal relationship with Distributors and Salons to strengthen the brand equity and sales development. This position requires a motivated and dynamic professional with initiative and strong sense of responsibility.

Qualifications:

  • College degree, 4+ years of work experience in cosmetics marketing, education or sales, preferably prestige brand experience.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and utilize sound judgment.
  • Software expertise – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Requirements:

 

A Moroccanoil Creative Team member must be a licensed stylist with working knowledge of Moroccanoil products.

 

Objective:

 

The role of a Moroccanoil Educator is to be a brand ambassador in the territories in which they live and also in any areas they travel to. They will teach, inspire and develop others.  They will work closely with the NYC office and Director of Education. And with Brand Managers to share product information with distributors, salons and stylists to keep them up to date with our brand and new product launches.  A lot of the responsibility will include being proactive in building relationships in the field and helping people to love our products.  They will plan and teach in-salon events that require a stylist (hands-on classes) and also be involved in doing hair at tradeshows, roadshows, media events and photo shoots in their markets or any surrounding territories.  

 

 

Personal Attributes/Skills:

 

  • Strong styling skills, with some artistic flair
  • Passion for the Moroccanoil brand, values and vision
  • Presentable- the hair and image, wardrobe professional and fashionable.
  • Charismatic, energetic, enthusiastic, well-mannered and humble
  • Professional, punctual, proactive, organized and respectful of other people’s time
  • Have a curious attitude and strong desire to learn
  • Preferably have experience in educating
  • Authentic presenter and clear communicator
  • Enjoy working as part of a team
  • Desire to help grow Moroccanoil sales in the local market
  • Be available for continuous training several times a year, for several days at a time
  • Flexible,  willing to travel and work Sundays and Mondays
  • Ability to work with Education dept.  to develop content and classes
  • Ability to interact positively with many personality types

 

Responsibilities:

 

  1. Work closely with the Education dept.  and the Brand Manager team to set up and host events
  2. Actively participate in model calls, media events, roadshows, tradeshows, distributor events, in-salon events
  3. Attend 2 updates a year in New York
  4. Must have a valid driver’s license  
  5. Act as a resource for distributors, salons, and stylists
  6. Work closely with Education to ensure consistency in our teaching
  7. Maintain communication with the NYC office and Director of Education.
  8. Research and gather information in the field that will help the brand to grow and maintain consistency
  9. Submit weekly reports
  10. Test new products and give feedback
  11. Maintain a full weekly schedule 40hr minimum
